The Burj Khalifa, known as the Burj Dubai before its inauguration, is a megatall skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Height:2,717 ft(roof height), 2,722 ft to tip. Floors:163 Construction started:January 6, 2004 Owner:Emaar Properties Architects:Adrian Smith, William F. Baker, George J. Efstathiou, Marshall Strabala To deal with extreme climatic conditions, the Burj is covered in two special types of glass meant to reflect the solar rays and the harmful radiation, thus keeping the interiors cool and reducing air conditioning costs.
